Welcome to Stories Without Labels

Children aren't broken. They are not too loud, sensitive, or too much. Some of them are neurodivergent, and that is something to celebrate.

At Stories Without Labels , we believe in the power of storytelling to honour the beauty of neurodiversity. We create children's books, parenting resources, and educational tools that reflect the lived experiences of families raising neurodivergent kids.

Whether your child is autistic, has ADHD, sensory processing differences, dyslexia or is navigating other forms of cognitive diversity, our resources are built around understanding, connection, and inclusion.

What is Neurodiversity?

Neurodiversity is the idea that brain differences like autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and other neurological variations are natural and valuable forms of human diversity. Instead of viewing these traits through a medical lens that focuses on deficits, the neurodiversity paradigm emphasizes inclusion, strength-based support, and social acceptance. It's a shift away from trying to "fix" children and towards building systems that honour their differences.

Why I started Stories Without Labels.

As a psychiatric nurse, writer and mom of a neurodivergent child, I've seen the gap between what families need and what's actually offered. Support often feels clinical, rigid or deficit-based.

That's why I created Stories Without Labels to give children and their families strengths-based, sensory-friendly emotionally attuned tools they can actually use.

We support caregivers, educators, and professionals working with neurodiverse children through a lens of compassion, co-regulation, and advocacy

  • We exist to affirm neurodivergent identity and advance the values of the neurodiversity movements. Our goal is to help families move from confusion and burnout to clarity and connection with practical tools rooted in lived experience, developmental psychology, and trauma informed care.
